RETAKE ROMA, ASSOCIAZIONE PER IL DECORO, RAMMENTA CHE LA CORDATA PER IL DECORO IN PROGRAMMA PER SABATO 11 GIUGNO HA LO SCOPO PRECIPUO DI SENSIBILIZZARE I CITTADINI E TUTTE LE ISTITUZIONI, ASSOCIAZIONI, SCUOLE E COMITATI CHE HANNO ADERITO A VEDERE CON OCCHI NUOVI LE NOSTRE STRADE, I NOSTRI MURI E I NOSTRI OGGETTI DI ARREDO URBANO.ANCHE SE LA MANIFESTAZIONE DI SABATO 11 INTERVERRA’ SOLO SU UNA PICCOLA PARTE DEL MUNICIPIO XX, LA CORDATA VUOLE ESSERE SOLO L’INIZIO DI UN FATTO CULTURALE DA DIFFONDERE PER TUTTA LA CITTA’.

E’ ESSENZIALE CHE I CITTADINI COMINCINO A COMPRENDERE COSA SIGNIFICA DARE UN VOLTO NUOVO ALLE LORO STRADE, COINVOLGENDOSI DIRETTAMENTE E ATTIVAMENTE NELLA
GESTIONE DEL DECORO DEI LUOGHI IN CUI VIVONO.

E’ UNA QUESTIONE DI RISPETTO E DI EDUCAZIONE VEDERE MURI, STRADE, PALI, BIDONI, PENSILINE PULITI E NON IMBRATTATI DA INSERZIONI E PUBBLICITARIE, MANIFESTI, ADESIVI, SCRITTE, SCOTCH E ALTRO.

GLI IMPIANTI PUBBLICITARI CHE DETURPANO LE STRADE E I NOSTRI MARCIAPIEDI SONO OLTRETUTTO PERICOLOSI PERCHE’ SPESSO CONTRAVVENGONO AL CODICE DELLA STRADA: E’ PERTANTO UNA BATTAGLIA CULTURALE ED AMBIENTALE DECIDERE DI RIMUOVERE GLI IMPIANTI PUBBLICITARI DAGLI SPAZI IN CUI SI SVOLGE LA NOSTRA VITA QUOTIDIANA.

Ricordiamo che i punti di incontro del percorso della cordata sono 2:

1. Via Cassia, angolo Via Grottarossa ore 10.
2. Corso Francia, vicino Oviesse, angolo Flaminia Vecchia ore 10.

Alle ore 12 dovremo tutti incontrarci in Via Cassia angolo Via 2 Ponti per cerimonia finale.

Se amate la vostra città e volete avere una speranza di cambiamento, dovete
partecipare. La partecipazione è democrazia. Portate anche i più piccoli.

VI invitiamo anche di creare e portare manifesti con il messaggio di “AMARE e PRENDERSI CURA DI ROMA” alla cordata per i quali

RETAKE ROMA, a movement aimed at increasing civic pride of our public spaces, has launched a “Cordata per il decoro” or “March for Dignity in Public Spaces” on Saturday June 11 with the main purpose of raising awareness of citizens, and all the institutions, associations and committees who participate, to see our streets, our walls and other objects in our urban landscape with new eyes.

Even if this demonstration on Saturday June 11 will involve only a small part of the 20^th Municipality, the march aims to be only the beginning of a cultural movement that will spread through the entire city.

It is essential that citizens begin to understand what it means to give a new face to their streets, involving ourselves directly and actively in the management of the urban décor of our neighborhoods.

Seeing our walls, streets, signposts, garbage bins, rooftops and other urban structures clean, and not blighted with advertisements, signs, stickers, graffiti and other vandalistic, abusive elements is a question of respect and common courtesy.

Abusive signage that spoil the streets and sidewalks is also dangerous because it often violates safe driving norms. The decision to remove signs from the spaces in which we live our daily lives is not only a cultural and environmental battle, but one aimed at increasing safety. That’s why we will tear down abusive signs of all sorts as we march together Saturday morning.

There are two meeting points to start the MARCHfor 10 am Saturday:

1. Via Cassia, at the corner of Via Grottarossa

AND

2. Corso Francia, near the Oviesse store, corner of via Flaminia Vecchia.

At 12 noon we should all meet at Via Cassia, corner of Via 2 Ponti for the final ceremony.

If you love our city and want to have a hope of change, you should participate. Participation is democracy. Bring even the smallest children!

We urge you also to make signs from cardboard or sheets to carry, or sandwich boards, sending messages to LOVE OUR CITY as we march.

We suggest you bring along water and brushes to wet the posters, scissors, scrapers, buckets and gloves.
